This website is hosted on servers of Hetzner Online GmbH (Industriestr. 25, 91710 Gunzenhausen, Germany). When accessing this website, the web server automatically records standard technical log data:

• Browser type and version
• Operating system of the end device
• Referrer URL (previously visited website)
• IP address of the accessing device
• Date and time of the server request / accessed file

This is done exclusively to ensure proper operation and to defend against cyber attacks (overriding private interest pursuant to the Swiss revDSG and Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR). Log data is automatically overwritten after a short period. No consolidation with other data sources or transmission to third parties takes place.

We use the security and acceleration services of Cloudflare (Cloudflare Inc., San Francisco, USA / Cloudflare Germany GmbH, Frankfurt am Main) for this website.

Web traffic between your browser and our origin server is routed through Cloudflare's global network (reverse proxy). This enables caching of static content, accelerates load times, and defends against malicious requests (e.g. DDoS attacks) via an integrated Web Application Firewall (WAF).

Cloudflare processes technically required connection data (including your IP address and security fingerprints) based on our legitimate interest in providing a secure and stable website (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR / Swiss revDSG). Cloudflare is certified under the EU-US and Swiss-US Data Privacy Framework (DPF).

This website uses neither tracking tools nor advertising cookies. No user data is collected or analyzed for advertising purposes.

To save your preferred language setting, we exclusively use your browser's local storage (LocalStorage: ark_lang). This value remains stored locally on your device and is not transmitted to our servers or third parties.

Clicking external links (e.g. to Discord, Steam, Nitrado, or CurseForge) forwards directly to the servers of the respective provider. No personal data is transmitted to third parties prior to clicking.

For consistent visual presentation, this website uses Google Web Fonts and Lucide Icons via CDN. When opening a page, your browser loads the required fonts and icons into its browser cache, during which your IP address is transmitted for technical reasons.

Our homepage embeds a video via youtube-nocookie.com in privacy-enhanced mode. According to YouTube, data is only transmitted once the video is actively started.

The ARK: Survival Ascended game servers are hosted by Nitrado (marbis GmbH, Germany; Cluster Owner: Nana). When connecting and playing on the game servers, Nitrado processes in-game data (e.g. Steam ID, Epic ID, gamer tag, IP address) within standard game mechanics exclusively for connection handling, administration, and ban management.
